Germany is one of the major powers and a key country in the European Union.
Could that be why German is used as an official language in the European Union?
Also, the relationship between Korea and Germany is closer than you might think.
Our country's vision for education, economy, welfare, and fostering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has been concretized based on German research findings and numerous case studies, and cooperation will continue to strengthen in various areas, including North Korea policy.
And that's not all.

Germany, and the German language, are so close to our daily lives.
People's favorite shoes, 'Dr. Martens', the most widely consumed drug, 'Aspirin', the world's best cars, 'Benz, Audi, BMW' - all of these products were produced in Germany.
And would you believe that the Korean we use has a German word? The word "arbeit" (아르편), which we often use, comes from the German word "die Arbeit," meaning "work."
