Sex Education Class Design Guide

『Communicative Sex Education』 is a book that vividly conveys the sex education classes of Jae-Jeong Lee, a ‘fun sex education teacher’ who has been working as a teacher for over 20 years and developed a sex education method that is perfect for ‘today’s teenagers.’
It consists of a total of 18 rounds, and rounds 16 to 18 are prepared to be held in two sessions depending on circumstances.
In particular, the Round of 16 added YouTube usage tips to prepare for situations where sex education needs to be provided to a large audience.
The order of the lectures introduced in the book was determined so that students could accept them naturally.
This book, "Communicative Sex Education," is full of fun and useful information, breaking away from the similar content and style of sex education. It will be the perfect coaching not only for junior teachers, but also for teachers who have a hard time teaching with "today's kids," and teachers who are concerned about linked classes.
Above all, this is an interesting book for anyone, including parents interested in sex education, as it can correct misinformation and is full of stories they didn't know about.

Publisher's Review
Activities and teaching materials that allow you to learn through play

Teacher Lee Jae-jeong reflects the psychology of teenagers, who consider "when adults do it, it's nagging, and when peers do it, it's information," and when teaching students values and attitudes about "sex," he does not lead them through one-sided lectures.
Difficult terms and content are taught through games, and students' honest concerns are turned into various examples, allowing students to actively share their thoughts based on what they have learned in class.
Through these various activities, we designed the class to foster learning in stages, develop the ability to think independently, and communicate with teachers and peers throughout the class.
Examples of teaching materials, such as activity sheets and teaching aids, are included in the appendix for reference in actual classes.

Vivid coaching based on rich experience

Author Lee Jae-jeong honestly confesses that he was once a teacher who was 'afraid to enter the classroom.'
Afterwards, he decided that it was better to change one person rather than changing the majority of students, so he changed his teaching methods and finally created a classroom filled with the voices of students who actively participated in class.
Above all, the nickname 'Jamsung Teacher' given to me by my students, meaning 'fun sex education teacher', is the most precious result of my teaching career.
To make it easy for anyone to see at a glance the class operation method that was created through repeated trial and error and based on abundant feedback from students, each lecture is divided into an outline of the class, goals that learners must achieve, and key activities (summarizing the time allocated, materials for teachers and students, and the purpose and method of the activity). In addition, how to apply this is explained in an easy-to-understand way by drawing a picture of one's own classroom.

Teaching know-how using edutech programs

Following the Ministry of Education's recommendations, the number of cases of using edutech programs in classes is increasing.
However, many teachers in the educational field are at a loss as to where and how to apply it.
The author of this book, Jae-Jeong Lee, was a teacher who did not use the common PPT or video materials, but the core of sex education was 'anonymity' and 'communication', so he used 'Padlet' and 'Google Forms' to achieve this and lead honest and active classes for students.
This book provides specific guidance on how to use these edutech programs, providing inspiration for teachers considering how to apply them in their classes.
