Description
Book Introduction
The four volumes of the popular masterpieces by master Ha Ji-eun, who took the Korean fantasy literature world by storm with “The Ice Tree Forest” and “The World That Is Always Night,” have been published in complete edition by Golden Bough.
The colorfully colored stories of 『Mr. Boyd's Bizarre Mansion』 and 『The Snow Lion and Summer』 make up the daytime, while 『Sandblood』 and 『The Wilderness of the Proud』, which delve into human nature, make up the nighttime.
All four volumes are reprints of books that had been out of print for a long time, and have been re-edited to enhance the quality of the writing.
Additionally, a new side story is included, allowing readers to discover the backstory they have been curious about.

Author Ha Ji-eun is a representative writer of the second-generation Korean fantasy literature.
He made his name known to domestic readers as soon as he debuted with his first work, “Ice Tree Forest.”
It was evaluated as having both literary quality and genre appeal, and it has established itself as a representative book of Korean genre literature, following in the footsteps of author Lee Young-do of Dragon Raja and Bird that Drinks Tears, and author Jeon Min-hee of Children of the Rune.
It was once out of print, but upon its publication by Golden Bough, it sold over 10,000 copies and was introduced to Japan, Russia, and other countries.
After a seven-year hiatus, 『The World Where It's Always Night』 was released and gained explosive popularity among readers who had been waiting for a new work for a long time, rising to the top of the literature bestseller list immediately after its pre-release on Kakao Page.
This renewal series of four works connects the gap between “The Ice Tree Forest” and “The World Where It’s Always Night” and showcases Ha Ji-eun’s unique worldview.

"Mr. Boyd's Curious Mansion" is the story of Label, a young man with the power to grant wishes.
It is a gothic romance that unfolds in an omnibus format about the story of those who make wishes to him and receive rewards in return.
A webtoon based on this work was serialized simultaneously in the United States, Canada, and other countries, and was selected for the 2023 Seoul International Book Fair's "This Book Again."
"The Snow Lion and Summer" is author Ha Ji-eun's first mystery novel and the last work she published before her hiatus. It vividly depicts the romance between a detective chasing the stolen last work of a great writer and the daughter of a theater owner.
It is said that it captivated readers with its lively and cheerful atmosphere.
This complete edition includes a special side story that tells the backstory of the popular character 'Deu Sevier'.
Artist Meari, who has collaborated with K-pop artists such as Red Velvet and famous companies such as Paradise Hotel, participated in the cover illustrations for both works.

Ha Ji-eun's "Sand Blood" and "The Wilderness of the Arrogant," which express "night," are works that express the essence of Ha Ji-eun's writing style, which explores the dark yet good nature of humans with flowing sentences and an aesthetic atmosphere. These works were so deeply missed by readers that they were traded at more than four times the list price in the used market.
"Sand Blood" is an epic poem of independence and revolution set in the desert.
The story of Leaquin, who went to a distant foreign land in search of salvation, and Viotti, who met him there, is depicted in a uniquely fantastical and mystical style.
A side story has been added that will allow readers to learn about a side of Sajahan that they were curious about.
"The Wild West" is a troupe drama set in a western outlaw town, depicting the struggles of characters seeking revenge on each other and the story of Racine, a devout boy who seeks to save them.
This work offers a glimpse into deep reflection on good and evil.
It will be released as a complete edition with the old story of the main characters Rem and Bernayol added as a side story.
Artist Soman, who participated in the 2023 Leeum Museum Calendar, drew the cover illustration.
