Every election inherently carries the potential for fraud, as long as there are blind spots in oversight.
Taiwan's insistence on on-site voting, Japan's practice of writing down the candidates' names and leaving a record of voters' handwriting, and France's use of transparent ballot boxes can all be seen as the result of careful consideration to eliminate blind spots in election monitoring and facilitate post-election verification.
South Korea's electoral system may have the most blind spots in oversight in the world.
It is operated on the premise of absolute trust in the Central Election Management Committee and the court.
It is bizarre that instead of a personal seal from the election supervisor, a ballot is printed, or even a ballot is recognized as valid even without a seal, and that the election commission exclusively holds the voter register that can verify voters and cannot use it as investigative material.


Moreover, the 21st-century barbarism of labeling those who raise issues as conspiracy theorists and far-right extremists is sweeping through Korean society.
