What do the leftists think about?
Description
Book Introduction
Through the dissection of Shin Young-bok's 『Discourse』
Uncovering the true face of the left!
A hot new work by Kim Sang-min, a political consultant who has worked in the media for a long time.
With the keen analytical skills, insight, and extensive knowledge of a former journalist, he analyzes 『Discourse』 to examine the errors in Shin Young-bok's thoughts and beliefs, and questions Shin Young-bok and the leftists who follow him.
“What do the leftists think about?”
“They say ‘change and creation happen on the periphery,’ but what country ignores its periphery?”
“A person who has taken Marx’s ‘Das Kapital’ as food for the mind!”
“The narrow-mindedness of leftist thinking, fixated only on what is visible!”
“If ‘writing is a person,’ then Shin Young-bok’s ideologically tainted handwriting should be treated like Lee Wan-yong’s...”
It consists of a total of 28 subheadings, all written with the author's fearless directness.

Into the book
“There are many people in South Korea who like Shin Young-bok.
At the opening ceremony banquet for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics on February 9, 2018, former President Moon Jae-in said, in the presence of Kim Yong-nam and Kim Yo-jong, that the thinker he respects is Shin Yong-bok.
Constitutional Court Justice Moon Hyung-bae wrote on his social media, "I think I've read almost all of Professor Shin Young-bok's books, but he's passed away! I agree with his words that change and creation happen in the periphery."
There are many people who follow Shin Young-bok and have leftist ideas, such as activists, the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union, and the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions.
They are negative about liberal democracy and free market economy and have a hard-line view of socialism.”
“If you look down at the Korean Peninsula on a dark night from space, the south is a city that never sleeps, and the north is a dark world.
The result is that South Korea went down the path of a liberal democratic market economy, while North Korea went down the path of a socialist planned economy.
Yet, those who once admired 'left-wing socialism' are still stuck in their hardened minds and are still lurking here and there.
The dark and evil spirit of leftist socialism must not be allowed to ruin the Republic of Korea.
Fortunately, our younger generation has a firm belief in liberal democracy and a market economy.
“I see hope in them.”
“I hope that this book, which delves into the inner thoughts of Shin Young-bok, a leftist socialist, will be of some help in broadening the thoughts and ideas of those who love the Republic of Korea.
“A great nation must have great people.”

Publisher's Review
The author says of this book, “It is an analysis and dissection of Shin Young-bok’s ‘Discourse.’
I have examined the thoughts and writings of Shin Young-bok, a left-wing socialist, point by point.
In particular, since Shin Young-bok's 『Discourse』 contains all of his thoughts, if you read and understand this book calmly, you will be able to understand the distorted national view, incorrect view of history, and narrow-minded world view of those who still think left-wing.”
Even putting aside the author's fearless courage and guts, I decided to publish this book because I thought it would be a book that would help people understand both sides in a situation where political conflict continues between the left and the right.
I hope this will provide readers seeking to understand the current state of Korean politics with valuable insights and suggest the direction in which our politics should move forward.
