This book is a guide for young lawyers who want to become good lawyers.
This is a practical guide written by Yoon Jae-yoon, former managing attorney at Sejong Law Firm, to share his experience and wisdom, accumulated over 30 years as a judge and 13 years as a lawyer, with junior lawyers.
Since the publication of the first edition, while giving lectures to young lawyers, the author has searched for new relevant literature and re-examined previously collected judgments.
In the process, I realized once again that our legal community has very little interest in the methods of argumentation or the life of a lawyer, and that there is a lack of related research and rulings.
As a result of this exploration, this expanded edition expands the 27 items in the first edition to 40 by adding actual judgments, examples of preparatory documents, and illustrations.
It was a great pleasure to hear from so many lawyers who unexpectedly found this book and its lectures helpful, and I hope this expanded edition will be of some help to those who pursue good arguments and a better life.
