Our freedoms, stipulated by the Constitution and laws and guaranteed by the United Nations (UN), are being taken away by the greed of power and capital.
Under the guise of national security, freedom of enterprise, public health, and public order, a new, quietly emerging neo-authoritarianism is raging, strangling freedom of life around the globe.
The irony is that power and capital talk about “defending freedom” even as they confiscate our freedom.
It is intolerable that our fundamental right, freedom, is being completely deceived in this era of popular democracy with a universal electoral system, not in the era of an aristocratic society ruled by an absolute monarchy for only a very small number of people.
It is a regression in human history that information technology (IT), which should be driving popular democracy, has been reduced to a tool of power and capital that blinds us and deafens us.

The 11th story, “Freedom Without ‘Freedom’,” shares with readers the grave crisis facing our ‘freedom’ and seeks to provide a time for reflection and commitment to freedom.
