A reading method that leaves a lasting impression even after reading just one book
A reading method that leaves a lasting impression even after reading just one book
Description
Book Introduction
There are various reading method books available, including "1,000 Book Reading Method," "10,000 Book Reading Method," and even guidebooks that help you read qualitatively regardless of the number of books.
The problem is that most people, before trying various reading methods, realize that they don't remember much after reading.
You don't need to memorize every single book, but if you dream of changing your life after reading any book, whether it's a novel, a self-help book, or a humanities book, I recommend the note-taking reading method that will help you remember even one book.
The author, a master of note-taking who transcends the boundaries of reading and writing, reveals everything about note-taking: reading that leaves a lasting impression, reading that creates impact, and reading that enriches life!

According to recent statistics, 4 out of 10 adults say they haven't read a single book in a year.
In this day and age when books are increasingly avoided, note-taking is the most necessary reading method.
The note-taking method is an effective reading method that allows you to retain the main points and use them properly even after reading one book without having to read it all at once.
The effects of reading notes are clear.
It leads to reading that lingers in your memory, reading that makes you think, reading that makes you write, reading that makes you put into practice rather than just reading.
The book proposes a five-step reading method that anyone can easily follow to read notes.

It starts with simple underlining, then teaches systematic and specific methods, including writing reading notes, creating a reading mind map that shows the contents of the book at a glance, writing skills that can be considered the completion of note-taking reading, and finally, how to make note-taking a habit.
After reading a book, you will naturally find yourself changing from a non-reader to a reader, and from a reader to a writer.
As the author says, after going through various hobbies, he eventually settled on reading and writing. Reading is a productive activity that anyone can easily start without spending a lot of money.
In this day and age, when cost-effectiveness is paramount in any endeavor, I hope you'll have a life-changing experience by reading memos, which offer the best value for money.

Appendix Reading Note Q&A 5 / Reading Note Example / Reading Mind Map Example

Into the book
I wanted to become a better person through reading.
While it's great to read books for fun, I also wanted to gain knowledge and grow from them.
I wanted my life to change through reading.
No matter how busy I was, I always made time to read books.
The moment I read it, I felt like my knowledge was increasing.
But even after just a few days, I couldn't remember the contents of the book very well.
Even though the number of books I read increased, not many of them stayed in my head.
No matter how many books I read, there was no change in my life.
It was the 'Note Reading Method' that saved me from my struggles with ineffective reading.
When I changed my method from reading only with my eyes to reading by taking notes, my reading life completely changed.
--- p.7

In the past, I just consumed books.
For me, books were just a temporary encounter that I encountered occasionally out of necessity but quickly forgot.
So, it didn't leave much of a mark on my life.
As I read the notes, I finally became someone who could learn from books.
The sentences I wrote down in my reading notes were engraved in my heart and changed the direction of my life little by little.
As I read more books and put them into practice in my life, the influence reading has on my life has grown.
--- p.33

They say that a good book is even better when read again.
When you read it a second time, try underlining it in a different color than when you read it the first time.
If you can distinguish between the sentences you underlined the first time you read it and the sentences you underlined the second time you read it, you can see the changes and growth you have made over time.
'I liked this sentence when I read it before', 'I didn't notice this sentence the first time I read it, but I ended up underlining it the second time I read it'.
--- p.62

Because reading notes are only a selection of important sentences, the improvement in writing may be less than that of copying an entire piece of writing or book.
It is difficult to grasp the overall structure of the text or the relationships between sentences when copying only some sentences from a book.
Even so, writing reading notes definitely helps with writing.
The sentences copied into your reading notes are likely to be important in the book and were likely written with great care by the author.
If you select such good sentences, observe them carefully, copy them down, and read them repeatedly, your writing skills will inevitably improve.
--- p.93

They say that writing is for the reader.
The purpose of writing is to give readers new perspectives and bring change to their lives.
However, the first and most sincere reader of my writing is me.
During the process of writing and revising a draft, the writer has no choice but to read his or her own work over and over again.
The reader who is most influenced by what I write is me.
This is why writing can change the writer's life.
--- p.171

Reading notes is like taking the time to meet with a person and get to know them deeply.
It's about keeping a record of your encounter with that person to cherish it for a long time.
Underlines drawn here and there in the book, notes scribbled in the margins, flags sticking out of the side of the book, sentences carefully handwritten in reading notes… … .
The time of taming leaves traces.
Through these traces, we can see that we have become friends with the book.
Through reading notes, a book becomes the only one of its kind in the world.

Publisher's Review
“I just added notes to my reading, and it really changed my life!”
Everything about the note-taking method I've been practicing consistently for seven years

The purpose of reading varies from person to person.
There is reading for the sake of seeking knowledge, there is reading without a purpose simply for the pleasure of reading, and there is also reading to show off one's knowledge in front of others.
No matter what purpose you choose to read a book for, you will inevitably find yourself absorbed in the pleasure of reading.
But the problem comes after reading the book.
There will be many times when you will be confused because you clearly read a book, but you only remember that you read it, and you cannot quite remember the topic or plot of the book.
However, it is said that not only ordinary people but also great figures in history have been troubled by reading things they cannot remember.
In his Essays, the French philosopher Montaigne expressed his concern about reading that he could not remember, saying, “I have read a little, but my memory is very weak.”
It is said that Joseon Dynasty intellectual Dasan Jeong Yak-yong also wrote and studied books by writing down random thoughts that came to his mind in the margins of books and copying important passages to collect the contents of books to solve this problem.

“If you read it clearly, you will forget it clearly!”
Reading that goes beyond just remembering things and transforms your life.

Just as the purpose of reading differs from person to person, the reading method should also differ.
《Memo Reading Method》 is a reading method that goes beyond simply reading for long-term memory, but rather changes your life.
For those who want to remember the contents of a book for a longer time and those who want to seek changes in their lives through reading, the 'Note Reading Method' is the optimal reading method.
The author, a master of note-taking, actually started reading notes seven years ago, and transformed from an ordinary office worker to an author who publishes books containing his thoughts and to a lecturer.
The author received the most inquiries from readers of his previous work, The Power of Note-taking Habit, about specific methods for 'note-taking reading.'
"Note-taking Reading Method" contains everything about note-taking reading, from the effects of the "Note-taking Reading Method" to how to take notes and write using note-taking, for those who have a passion for productive reading and new reading.

Even if you only read one book, it's more enjoyable! Let's read effectively!
Transform from a "reader" to a "writer" by reading notes.
