Life Sign
Description
Book Introduction
LifeSign changes your life! Even though science and technology have advanced by leaps and bounds, there are still things in this world that cannot be explained by science. Even putting aside difficult experiences like near-death experiences, out-of-body experiences, and the afterlife, there are times in life when we experience a 'premonition'. Everyone has probably avoided or prevented a situation at least once thanks to that premonition. When something like that happens, we often don't pay much attention to it, thinking it was just luck or a coincidence. But what if those vague premonitions and omens we've dismissed as insignificant aren't just coincidences or good luck? What if they're signals from some other entity? It doesn't matter what kind of being it is. It could be the god of each religion, it could be a higher-dimensional self that is much more awakened than I am now, or it could be the entire universe. What if, regardless of who we place our faith and trust in, that being offered us answers to our future and the right path forward? Wouldn't that be akin to glancing at the answers in a workbook? In this book, you will learn how to recognize, interpret, and benefit from spiritual signals, or "lifesigns." Lifesigns are messages from the universe to help you live a happier and more fulfilling life. Life signs usually appear in the form of serendipity, synchronicity, and unexplained events. This book teaches you how to interpret the meaning of these three types of life signs you encounter in life. To utilize life signs, you must find patterns in all the stimuli coming through your five senses and combine those patterns to read the message. To do this, we must always be awake and observe our inner selves and the world. Anyone seeking to discover their true self will find intuitive insight and enlightenment through this book. If we effectively apply the life signs explained in this book in our daily lives, we will be able to see the answers to the problem book called life more often and more clearly than others. Now, let's meet the amazing power within us through Life Sign. |

Into the book
When someone asks why a scientist and longtime skeptic of paranormal phenomena left the labs of General Foods to become a writer of paranormal thrillers and spiritual self-help books, I say this.
“I started a spiritual journey.” The reason I share my experience with people is simple.
To teach us how to interpret the various signals we encounter in life, including serendipity, synchronicity, and unexplained events.
I call the three things I mentioned earlier - serendipity, synchronicity, and inexplicable events - lifesigns.
We can all cultivate creativity through spiritual practice, connect with the universe, and find answers to life's countless questions.
However, life sign is very important in this kind of spiritual practice.
--- p.16
In this book, I often use the word Universe.
Whether spiritual or religious, our paths in life are different for each of us.
But the concepts contained within are universal and can be applied to any path.
I also use the word Spirit or spiritual, but it has nothing to do with religion.
Religion is the passage to the soul, and the soul is the truth.
But religion is not the truth.
Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for people to become so caught up in the dogmas of religion that they forget that their ultimate goal is the spirit and stop on their way.
When I use the words universe, spirit, or source, you can substitute whatever you consider to be the highest and most ideal being spiritually.
It doesn't matter whether it's the soul, God, the Lord, Buddha, light, Jesus, Jehovah, Yahweh, yourself, your infinite potential, or your higher self.
It doesn't matter what you believe to be your highest power.
There are countless ways to worship God in this world.
Each and every one of them is wonderful! Whether religious or not, anyone can apply this book to their daily lives and find meaning in it.
--- p.18
Swiss psychologist Carl Jung defined synchronicity as a “meaningful coincidence.”
Jung said this:
“Simultaneity reveals a meaningful connection between the subjective and objective worlds.” When simultaneity occurs, two or more events occur that, to the parties involved, may seem logically meaningful, yet also somewhat mysterious and inexplicable.
Synchronicity is different from coincidence, such as luck or fortune.
Concurrency is a hidden pattern that can contain meaningful information.
--- p.68
I often ask participants in my workshops to define intuition or give examples of when they experienced intuition.
At this time, the definitions or experiences that people answer are often not intuition but supernatural powers.
Therefore, I think we should first clearly define intuition and psychic abilities.
Merriam-Webster's Online English Dictionary defines intuition as:
“A quick insight, a fleeting understanding or perception, the power or ability to acquire direct knowledge, or cognition not followed by explicit logical thought and reasoning.”
Meanwhile, the definition of psychic is as follows:
“A special or mystical feeling, perception, or understanding that is outside the realm of physical science or knowledge, is intangible, moral, spiritual in origin or power, or is sensitive to non-physical or supernatural forces and the influence of such forces.”
Intuition is knowing something without knowing why you know it.
In the world of psychics, intuition is often affectionately called the jack-of-all-trades.
--- p.103
When we experience lower energy levels like worry, anger, or hatred, our natural energy flow is disrupted.
If you start to think negatively about something or someone, stop.
Control yourself.
It's not easy to suddenly stop doing something, but it's a big step forward.
Next, send loving thoughts to the person who caused these negative feelings.
If the thought is directed at a person, then you can consider it as doing him or her a kindness.
If you're worried about money, keep making positive affirmations like these:
I will become a little richer every day.
And I appreciate that.
--- p.258
We each go our own way.
The driving force that drives each of us to fulfill our spiritual mission is the desire to discover our purpose for coming to this earth.
I felt like I was meant to do something different in this life.
Time passed by little by little.
Have you ever asked yourself these questions? "Who am I? Why am I here? What is my life's purpose?"
We each come into this world with a special purpose.
Don't be so quick to assume that your reason for coming here is trivial compared to the most spiritually gifted teachers and leaders of all time.
Such people were born into this world and simply chose to take control of their own lives.
And he decided to follow his own destiny.

Publisher's Review
How to find out your life sign
The author, a former scientist working in a laboratory at General Foods, has long lived a life of rejection of supernatural phenomena and illogical claims.
How did the author, a rationalist who believed his strength was intellect and his weakness was creativity, end up leaving the lab to become a writer of thrillers and self-help books on spirituality?
The author begins to feel that one bad thing after another is happening in his life, and that things are getting more and more complicated.
Then, by chance (actually, fate), he attends a spirituality conference, and after experiencing a series of events, including an out-of-body experience, he receives a life sign.
He came to realize that the fact that his life was starting to go wrong was a signal from the universe telling him to fundamentally rethink his life.
Afterwards, the author realized that his life's purpose was to "help people through writing," and he jumped into writing novels, something he had no interest in before.
But then, as if waiting for it, a series of creative awakening events occurred, and everything flowed smoothly, leading to the writing of three novels and the current life of a writer who conducts workshops on spirituality.
The author says that anyone can pick up on the signals life sends them by keeping their eyes and ears open to the world, as he did.
Because the universe wants us to do well in whatever we do.
There is no such thing as meaningless coincidence in this world.
The answers to life's most pressing questions lie right before our eyes.
But we are so caught up in life that we often miss the answer.
The universe is constantly talking to us and sending us messages through signals.
Whether we consciously engage with the questions we face in life or whether they remain hidden in our subconscious, the universe sends us signals to answer them.
As long as we are on the right path, this life sign will slowly reveal itself.
It also gives us pointers on the direction we should take and important things we haven't thought about yet but must do.
But we often ignore those signals, and as a result, subtle clues and answers quietly pass us by.
What would happen if we recognized that clue? What if we could begin a conversation with the universe, understand its soul's language? Events we often dismiss with phrases like "of course," "luck," "coincidence," "probable," "likely," "fate," "luck," "blessing," "strange," or "gift" could actually be life signs sent by the universe.
Through the remarkable experiences of Dr. Tom Day, the author shows that the "inexplicable events" that occur in life can be nothing less than blessings.
It was Christmas night in the late 1970s.
Tom was driving his trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
The ground was dry and fluffy when he entered the Lehigh Tunnel.
But as I came out of the tunnel, a blizzard was blowing so hard that I couldn't see anything in front of me.
Tom was surprised to see that the snowfall had not let up at all on the way back.
Ironically, it was the fear of being stranded that gave him the courage to continue driving down the road.
“I kept driving.
“Until we find a place to park and rest for a while.” But there wasn’t a single motel in sight along the road.
I had no choice but to drive.
But in front, you can see three red lights on the trailer and two red brake lights.
When Tom's car met a car going in the same direction in bad weather, the distance between him and the car in front was about the width of a trailer.
Tom quickly found the radio and tried to radio the driver of the car in front, but there was no answer.
Thanks to following the light, Tom didn't stray from the path.
Moreover, it was possible to safely avoid abandoned cars and other obstacles.
We were almost at the Lehigh Tunnel.
Tom tried everything to stop the truck ahead of him, hoping to treat him to breakfast at the diner at the end of the tunnel as a token of his appreciation.
He followed the red lights ahead and entered the tunnel.
Then, thanks to the lights inside the tunnel, I could see ahead.
“As we entered the tunnel, the red light disappeared.
So I opened my eyes wide to get a good look at the car I was following.
But there was nothing! No one!”
Startled, Tom quickly stopped the car and got out of the driver's seat.
He thought the car in front was far ahead, so he got back in the truck and started driving.
I thought that once I got out of the tunnel, I would find the tire marks of the car in front left in the snow.
But as we emerged from the tunnel, a crystal-clear night sky unfolded before us.
All around was quiet, and the road was covered in a thin layer of freshly fallen snow, but there were no tire marks anywhere! Tom headed to a restaurant near the tunnel.
But isn't it true that Tom has been the only customer in the restaurant for the past four hours?
The waitress came up to him and said,
“Customer, you look like you’ve seen a ghost!”
This anecdote from Dr. Tom Day illustrates just how wonderful and amazing the universe is.
In the most extreme moments of driving through a blizzard, Dr. Tom would have sought help from the best of all worlds.
When he saw the red light before his eyes, he firmly believed that a welcome miracle had occurred and followed it closely.
Could you have driven at 80 kilometers per hour in a blizzard if you had any doubts?
Scientist Albert Einstein once said:
“There are only two ways to live life.
“One is to live as if miracles do not exist, and the other is to live as if everything is a miracle.” What was Einstein, the representative of scientific reason, trying to say with these words?
It is an individual's freedom to live life from any perspective.
However, by accepting the life sign, the author's life became richer and happier than before.
Life sign is a science.
Like a muscle, if you keep using it, it gets stronger.
Change doesn't happen overnight.
But if you accept that life signs exist in your daily life and listen to them, you too can change someday.
